T400 fiber has good elasticity, excellent wrinkle resistance, and has realized commercial production. At the same time, T400 fiber fabric has unique properties such as stable shape retention and moisture absorption and quick drying, which makes the fiber ideal in many knitted product fields Fiber raw materials.
T400 fiber is a parallel composite fiber of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and PTT (polytrimethylene terephthalate). The two raw materials of PET and PTT are processed and compounded in the composite spinneret according to a certain amount. After stretching and heat setting, the final product is formed. In the spinning process, due to the similar structure of the two polyester fiber raw materials, PET and PTT, both have excellent adhesion, so there will be no two-component peeling phenomenon in the parallel composite processing. The thermal shrinkage rate of PET and PTT are different. Under the action of relaxation and heat setting, the structure of the two fibers will shrink. The component with higher shrinkage rate will be on the inner side of the spiral, and the lower shrinkage rate will be on the outer side of the spiral. The difference in shrinkage rates on both sides causes the fiber to produce permanent three-dimensional spiral crimps (Figure 1).
This crimping method will increase the cohesion and friction between the fibers, so that the fabric has a certain degree of elasticity and bulkiness. as shown in picture 2.

Other Characteristics of T400 Fiber
T400 fiber has a large elastic elongation (50% ~ 150%) and good elastic recovery (when the elastic elongation is 25%, the recovery rate is about 80%), even after 500 times of repeated stretching, elasticity The recovery rate can still be maintained above 95%, and its elasticity is better than other elastic fibers such as PTT, PBT, and textured yarn; T400 fiber has low shrinkage rate, good moisture absorption, good wrinkle resistance and chemical stability, and inherits PTT The fiber has the characteristics of low glass transition temperature, low dyeing temperature, convenient dyeing, and can be applied to a variety of post-processing procedures; at the same time, T400 fiber is a hollow structural fiber with grooves, so it is more elastic than polyester, spandex and other fibers. The fiber is soft, warm and fluffy.
In the raw materials of knitted fabrics, spandex is widely used, but spandex production has problems such as complex technology, high raw material and processing costs, and high dyeing difficulty, so it cannot fully meet the needs of the market. The emergence of T400 fiber makes up for the shortcomings of spandex. After preliminary investigation, it is found that T400 fiber occupies a certain market proportion in the fields of knitted sports fabrics and denim fabrics (Figure 3).

In the shirt fabric market, cotton-based fabrics account for a large proportion. Pure cotton shirts do not have sufficient elasticity and are not easy to stretch during the wearing process. After the application of T400 fiber, the fabric can have durable stretching and good resilience performance; the shrinkage rate of T400 fiber fabric is very low, It still has excellent shape retention after repeated washing, which can improve the easy shrinkage, deformation, wrinkling and other problems of cotton fabrics after washing. Therefore, it is particularly important to develop the development and design of T400 fiber shirt fabrics. Select T400 fiber and cotton yarn as raw materials, weave the fabric on a single jersey machine, adjust the machine to ensure that the drafting tension of each yarn is even;
Two-bath two-step method can be used to dye fabrics. T400 fiber is dyed under high temperature and weak acid conditions. After washing, the cotton component is overdyed with low-temperature reactive dyes; after finishing treatment, the woven fabric feels soft and has moisture absorption Quick-drying, stable stretch recovery, good shape retention and other properties, suitable for the production of spring and summer knitted shirts. In development, T400 fiber has good chlorine resistance and good washing fastness, which is suitable for use in denim fabrics, bringing a new appearance and style to denim clothing. At the same time, the soft and light characteristics of T400 fiber fabric can alleviate the weight and roughness of jeans;
T400 fiber is often used to produce high-performance sportswear such as swimming suits, fitness clothes, yoga clothes, etc. The suitable elasticity and moisture absorption and quick-drying properties of the fiber make it one of the first choices for sports fabrics; T400 fiber fabric has stable dimensions and good shape retention. The characteristics of washing resistance are in line with the production of suit fabrics with functions such as easy washing. In addition to close-fitting clothes, T400 fiber is also used in casual outerwear, jackets, down jackets and other outer fabrics. Its application also allows products to produce different styles and characteristics. Therefore, in the development of T400 fiber products, in addition to taking advantage of the fiber's suitable elasticity and processing convenience, it can also make full use of its unique properties suitable for different clothing fabrics.
